Call came from 662-235-3408 telling our Dental Office that we were getting shut off in an hour and a half. Told me to call 1-888-673-8623. Called the number and they answered as if they were PG&E services and was ready to take a payment. DONT FALL FOR THIS. I REPORTED IT TO PG&e ALREADY!!

Claimed they were xcel energy and was going to disconnect. i let him talk and let him know that we were not an xcel customer at this location so there was no way i could have a disconnection much less a bill. he hung up on me.

Delighted to say I was just scammed for $4000 by these people. Power shutoff scam, just enough cues to make me think it was legitimate, despite now-obvious red flags. Initial "minimum" $500, then $1498 "balance", then $1998 "total", because balance payment was "rejected", and initial 500 would be "refunded."

Medical office I work at just received a call from this number 1-888-673-8623 saying they were PG&E and that our services would be shut off in 1 hour. They sounded friendly but official. My boss said it was a scam, our account is up to date and they were asking for us to go to Walgreens to purchase cards.

The business I work at got this call just now. They said they were from PG&E and power would be shut off in 45 min. When I called back to get more info, it sounded official. They had the prerecorded PG&E message an everything. But then the phone started cutting out and I hung up and started searching the number. SCAM!!

A technician called from 888-673-8623 stating that they were going to shut off my power in 45 mins. I asked them for information and they said i haven't paid in two months. I said i had paid every month, so he asked how much i paid in january, and i gave him an amount that i paid in 2022, and he said "ahhh, yes, i see that payment cleared." while doing all of this, i was logging into my dwp to make sure i was current and i was. Given, i pay everything automatically. Definitely a scam.

Guy called from another number, 2053391252, said that it was about a threat on turning off electricity. To call back at 888-673-8623 to talk to someone about it. Definitely scam.

The guy called at 7:18 am claiming to be GWP technician to disconnect the power. He said he came by last night and I was already closed. So he called to have me call this number 888-673-8623. So I asked for the account and he said that he is only a technician and that they did not give him the account number associated with disconnection. He also said if I had receive 2 letters about it. I said no and I will logon to GWP account and saw that it was fine. Thats when I knew he was scammer.
