They left me a VM, claiming something was wrong from my recent SS application, asking me to call Anita J Franks at 866-327-0661 with an extension. I called back, neither the extension nor Franks were available, and first thing the person wanted to know was my SSN. This is a SCAM, and I guarantee those people leaving comments like "Oh, yes, it's SSA verified!" are scammers as well.

I recently applied for SSA on line. I have been getting many phone calls every day from all different numbers. I only called one back because she did leave an extension # and when I called it this morning, it seemed legit, but the person who called me was not available. I wish they would communicate via the actual application since I am able to view the progress on it and that would be the ideal way to communicate without risking being the victim of a scam.
